Stock Wheel Question (Again????)

I have a 1st generation 2.3 CL with 16 inch wheels. I was wondering if I could use the 1st generation CL type s 16wheels? I apologize if this question has been asked before but after doing a search of the board, I still could not anwer my question.
Thanks for the help.

The cl type s is 2nd generation. There is no 1st gen type s, only 2.2, 2.3 and 3.0. Also the type s wheels are 17s not, 16s. I'm not sure of bolt patteren on type s, but i seriously doubt that they are 4 lug like your 2.3. sorry bro.

I just called the dude selling the 16 wheels and he told me that they are off a 1998 3.0. I just assumed that it was an s-type (thansk swclown )

So I guess my question is:

Will the 1998 3.0 16 inch wheels fit on a 1998 3.2 with 16 inch wheels.

They look different then the wheels I have now, but have 4 lugs like mine in the 2.3.

If they is a thread about this already I will check that out.

The thing that is buggin me is that the 3.0 wheels say 16x6 and the tire rack has a range that goes up to 16x5 for the 2.3. So I am little confused. What is the 16X# mean? And will the 16x6 fit on my car.

Thanks for the help!

Dont worry about it. It's just that the 2nd generation CL is a 3.2 and the wheels will not fit so i wanted to make sure you were talking about the 1st Generation CL.

If you want to get rid of your 2.3 wheels, i'll trade you for my 97 3.0 wheels. All are in perfect condition.

i'd just put some snow tires on the rims you have then and change them back when the snow is gone. Or just get some decent all season tires. Dont bother buying wheels too unless you really wanna spend the cash. I wont go that cheap with mine because I just had to buy 2 rims a while back, I bent them on a pot hole... and they were $190 a piece!
