Hi All~

I have 97' 3.0 CL, and I want to replace my stock speakers. I've got amp and sub from my friend and I am about the purchase new speaker from Ebay.

1) First of all, what size should I get? Are both front and rear 6x9?

2) Can someone briefly explain what does 2 way or 3 way or 5 way speakers mean? Does it really matter?

3) Which brands are good? Which would you guys suggest? I am thinking of spending $50~$70 for pair.

1. get 5.25" fro teh front and 6x9's for the rear

2) it is the number of drivers that are in the coaxial speaker or number of drivers included in a component speaker set. get 2 way 6x9's and a 2 way component system for the front

3) this is not enough to buy good speakers, expect to pay a minimun of 100 for each pair.


if you are asking these questions you are not well versed in car audio, read up before you waste your money

 

for 50-70 bucks, your talkin the av section at walmart at best. save up a little more if the brand is important to you. like hobo said, expect to spend more, unless u check the black market here or try ebay.

 

hey what's up, new here...picked up my 97 3.0 last fall and immediately noticed the bose stock system sucked balls. planned on replacing it all but started with a high power alpine head unit, then low and behold, the speakers were reborn. I left them as is, and it jams pretty well. good luck with whatever you do tho...

 

and just think if u dropped in aftermarket speakers.......

DOT DOT DOT *BOOM* there is ur awsome sound thatz 100x better then ur stock speakers . also get a seperate 4 channel amp for ur speakers and it will sound even better.
