alright so i took my head unit out today and was going to put in the sosche adapter for stock amps...but i didnt...so i pulled apart ALL of the wires i had together and re-taped them with black tape...i did it the best i could and i STILL have static and i honestly have no idea why...is it just best for me to take it to a shop and have them figure it out or has anyone had this before and came up with a solution to it?

 

It sounds like you should have bought the harnes kit... Black tape? That sounds like what I would have done when I was 16. Did you cut off the stock harness. With the correct harness kit, my JVC went right in with the stock amps. No problems at all. But when you go cutting and rigging stuff, you may have an intermittent ground fault. Or it could be that you have damaged the harness. In any case, it sounds like you may be over your head, But be prepared to pay a little more. Professionals hate cleaning up after ametures. Good luck.
