still new at this

so this saturday I installed the new TeinSS-Ps. Took me 11 hours to finish everything. The coilovers were very easy to install but the polyethylene bushings were a nightmare. After doing the whole front I moved to the back. As a note, there is one bolt and two nuts holding the rear setup. That one single bolt I couldn't set loose for anything. Used not to pretty methods to loosen them. Anyways. The setup is sick. It turns like I can't explain. One problem. The uppercontrol arm hits the top. Matt(ghost...) had his airhammered for more room. what would happen if I cut out a hole to give the joint more room to more. The rideis pretty low and stiff just the right way. I honestly wouldn't want to adjust anything. any ideas?

For the rears, next time just use a jack to slightly lift the rotor/hub to the point where the bolt is not having pressure applied by weight. That way, you just simply pull it out or use a screw driver and hammer to tap it out once it's unbolted.

Congrats on the setup!

I'm so jealous you got yours before me, pics are a must, you could cut a hole, I'd roll the fender if you can. Congrats on your install and bushings though

yea post pix i wanna see how low I can go.

I adjusted my rears yesterday and I couldn't notice a difference in height.

I have about 1 1/2 inches of space between the spring's seat and the top of the thread.

ok arber here is the deal with cutting a hole to making room.

yes you can do it, and ive seen it before on other forums, when i had this problem

BUT when you cut a hole in your shock tower your compromising its strength and durability.

with having the shock tower heated and airhammered your giving it just enough room with out compromising its strength.

my UCA's bang my shock tower every now and then, but just on nasty bumps.

BTW im glad you finally dropped your car, me you, shawn, gotta take some pics one day.

Will I really conpromise the strength?
If i do what will come of it. Won't sways take care of the problem?
Anyways. Im real happy with the drop n the feel. It much better than riding stock. Well thats driving with a bent shock. Yes my shock had a 16degree bend. Just another reason why I love NYC.

if you want to cut the hole then do it, but make sure your precise and dont cut it to big.

i vote for an airhammer job, but its your car.

i dont see how rolling the fenders would give the upper control arm more clearance. i thought rolling fenders was only necessary when adding super wide wheels.

Here you go. Minor adjustments still needed like bringing the back down a bit. They aren't as stiff as i though but the car handles like never seen before.

and my shock towers are already seeing the meaning on NYC streets

Enjoy!!
N Percy. Headers, pulleys and a tune and I will beat you. Just watch. I didnt bullshit the first time and i certainly wont the second. Btw, thanks for the rims.

Every Wednesday, there's a show at Burlington Coat Factory on SI. It's mostly older guys with older cars but it gets more and more mixed every week. It's fun to go down there and just hang out.

I'm always in stealth mode...I'm a fuckin NINJA! You never know when I'm watching lol

Nah, my car was vandalized and totalled. They broke my window, stole a few CDs, my EZ-Pass, garage door opener but most importantly, my SQUASH AIR SPENCER AIR FRESHNER!!!!!! lol Then they poured used motor oil ALL OVER the interior. That car was fuckin MINT too but the insurance company couldn't find an interior for it, so they totalled it. I was gonna sell it the week afterwards anyway and the insurance company gave me more than I was gonna sell it for...so I'm content. It just sucks since the car was so clean.

Now, back to the topic...idk how you drive that low around here Arber, that takes some serious skill. But it looks
