i dont know about your questions, but with an sri for a 3.0, be ready for a constant horribly stupid sound
i would get a cai if i were you.
the sound of an sri on a 3.0 is just overpoweringly annoying
get a cai and take off the extension part to find out

yes a intake can slightly high fuel mileage but its nothing your honestly gonna notice. you cant rely on parts to get better gas mileage you just have to chill out when u drive. the basic point in my mind of an intake is for sound and a slight increase in acceleration.
and as for the intake helping your car warm up, i cant see that having anything to do with it. its just a matter of your coolant and oil rising to a certain temperature. correct me if im wrong.

AEM or cosmo are good. The humming from the SRI comes from a combination of a cheap filter and the intake not being mounted properly, and it reverberates sound like a tuning fork.

I think the stock resonator has something to do with the sound. I stuffed some rags in it and it helped a bit. I tried taking it out, but i ran out of patience.

I'd love to go CAI it's just super rainy here in BC. I think we have some sort of record or something.. I'd hate to suck that water up in my engine. I just can't trust a BOV either, it seems too simple.

Alright, I took the airbox thing out and It made a huge difference with regards to the humming. It still hums but it isn't nearly as loud or as deep a sound. It's very bearable. Every clip I took out, I broke. I just yanked them out with pliers. I forgot to take pictures but it just takes a bit of muscle and some new clips. Acura charged me $3.65 per clip, I was shocked, but they went back in perfectly.
In summary, I highly recommend taking the resonator thingy out.
