Everytime i turn my car on i hear this squeaking noise from under the hood.....i dont know what it is......it also squeaks a bit when i accelerate.....does anyone know what it could be and what to do to resolve this problem?

also when i hit the brakes to stop, it feels like the car is about to stall and it happens alittle when i hit the gas....the car doesnt drop in rpms but it feels like it does and that its about to shut off.....what can that be???

 

sounds like a belt. could be the alternator belt b/c when you are not stepping on the gas, you're not making the alternator turn and produce enough electricity.

 

Slipping belt. Mine made a squeak when the a/c was on then i changed the belt and everything is ok now.

 

unless you got a 3.0, it might be the hampster wheels....get some WD40

 

it might be your wheel bearings, take it to a shop local and have it checked out for free, if you need them or not

mie skweeked a little and it was the bearing so youll never know, some say the belts but i say check your wheel bearing

 

i got that exact same damn fuckn problem i change my alternator n watever belt and it now it only makes it wen i have the ac running n stuff so what belt or what do i have todo now? i put alittle dressing on it....it helped for like alittle n back to normal again.......... advice plz

 

try spraying wd40 on the belt a little

i would look at the ac belt but check all for cracks or wear and tear

 

that's probably the AC belt then. cars usually have 3 belts. crank to water pump, AC belt and Alt belt.

if you changed the alt belt and it still makes noise, by process of elimination, it should be the other 2. but you said it only makes noise when the ac is on, it's probably the ac belt.

why don't you open up the hood and let the ac run and try to hear where the noise came from?

 

the nose comes from near the alternator belt was installed....i changed teh alternator n fan belt....so most likely it would be the ac?
