sport line or pro kit

ok, I've been wanting to lower my car for a while, since I got my new wheels. I have a huge gap inbetween my front wheel and the wheel well. I have 18" wheels with 215/40 18 tires, Stock ride height. I still want to keep a nice ride, but I also want to close the gap. So which kit do you guys like the best? I'm also gonna go with KYB AGX adjustable struts.

Pro kits look almost stock. the sportlines give a good drop and the ride is fine. I like mine.

I have Pro-kits with the AGX on 18's and the ride is great. The drop is just where I like it as well--people who say there's no noticeable drop must be looking at something else--there's a big difference compared to stock. I've seen pics of the Sportline drop and it looks really good, but then you have to spend extra money to adjust your camber. Others have also posted that the ride is worse on Sportlines, which makes sense. You have to weight the pluses and minuses yourself, but the extra pain of dealing with camber kits and worse ride did not justify the lower drop on the Sportlines for me.

yea i do understand your concerns with the camber kit. If you wanted the lowest drop possible but w/o a camber kit id say get H&R sports.

Another thing with teh "worse" ride quality of the sportlines, if hes getting AGX's then he can just adj to compensate for the extra stiffness

Yeah. Thats why I'm leaning (no pun intended) towards that set-up.

I plan on getting prokits, I think that the drop is more noticeable if you get aftermarket struts, versus stocks. The car doesn't look as dropped if you just use prokits, but that's the point of them, they're only meant to drop your car about 1.5" where as sportlines drop lower. Prokit with kyb/agx is the route i'm going, the kyb/agx might get swapped out for some tokicos or teins, not sure yet.

I saw your page, the thing that I didn't like was still the extra gap in the front. That's my biggest concern right now, I absolutely hate that gap.

if you are a 3.0 DO NOT do the sportlines and 18's if you plan on tossing the car around, it'll rub like a bitch

also, i've gone through about 8-10 different setups, hands down the prokit was the best handling and riding package of them ALLL!

2.x = sportlines; 3.0 = pro-kits

*edit

I have the 3.0 with 18's and the Pro-Kit, love it. But you are right about the gap in the front. If you have 2.x, it will be worse.

I know someone has prokit for the 2.x on their 3.0.

Will this sit lower than 3.0 prokit and higher than the sportsline?
