speed sensor

hi, i just got the new dvd/Nav for my 97 2.2 cl, but i couldn't find the speed sensor, anyone know where i can find it???? plz help!!!

i thought speed sensors were for automatic transmitions, so the car has an idea when to shift.. on the other hand it could be for the spedo and stuff..

I'm pretty sure all cars have a speed sensor...but I don't know where it is.

VSS is behind the distributor on the transaxle. Remove inlet to access.

it didnt need it. I have the Kenwood Navi HD, and it said i didnt need to hook it up to the speed sensor. I was like oh shit cool. Saved a lot on install.

got a code today and it's my vss .i guess it will be easy to replace and does anybody think while i'm at it should i flush my trans.
