speaker replacements

i went into the off topic audio/video section and i was trying to look for something but couldnt find it...

i blew out my bose speakers and i wanted to get a replacement....are there any specific speakers that will not fit on our cars? i know that the backs are 6x9s and the fronts are 6s right? what do you guys recommend or what are some of your guy's setups that you are satisfied with. if you guys can also give a price range on what you spent that would be great. just the inside speakers though. i have 2 12's that are jls and a dvd head unit...

man im so pissed..hahah..the only thing that I REALLY care about in my car is jacked..im looking on spending about 500-600 on just speakers...but anything cheaper would be great...any recommendations? i know i also have to get an amp as well...

Anything with more than a 2-2.5" mounting depth will give you problems

The fronts are 6.5" and the rears are 6x9's, I had to make custom spacers to fit my 6x9's cuz the magnets were like 3.5" mounting depth

well i didnt want to spend that much money but thats how much i have to blow on speakers...id rather get something cheaper but i want to be able to see what fits in our cars...do any of you guys have speakers that perfectly fit? well atleast close to it.....prices would be cool too...

id rather spend like 300 or something and spend the rest of it on something else...haha..like my headers...

i was looking at just getting some jl's cause i really didnt like infinitis when they were in my civic.

U don't wanna go my route if you want everything to fit up stockwise, but I'd go infinity, JL, or boston

I would get some used Dynaudio components if it were me. These are some of the best, which you could get if you shop around. Dynaudio, morel, focal, dls, rainbow MB quart. MB quart makes some really good ones for the money.

I bought a 6 year old usamps for 600$ then ended up selling it for 700 a year later, and was the best amp I ever owned. A lot of car audio people buy things lightly use them, and then sell. You can get some awesome deals on used stuff out there.

But having new stuff is quite a bit more fun, unless you get buyers remorse

Okay- here's the thing- If the 500-600 dollars is for both speakers AND an amp, that is actually pretty easy to spend. You can get a really good setup for that price range, especially if you do your research. I would recommend hitting the audio stores first and actually listening to any set of speakers and amp setup together first before you buy anything. YES it will sound different in your car than in their acoustically enhanced listening rooms, but you'll get a good idea of the high and low range of the speakers. Once you narrow down your brand preference, THEN go online and search for speakers by brand and even model specifically. You will save lots of money online, but it pays to hit the stores first-

X2 you will be suprised what a cheaper set can sound like, and then buy it off the net. There are some authorized dealers online too, so you CAN still get the warranty...Be carefull of it though, because some people claim you will get the warranty but actually will not.

Anyone know the stock mounting depth of the 6.5s? My fronts are massive, and need almost 3 inches to get in....There will probably be plenty of cussing when I finally get around to installing these.

Get a dremel, and cut out the back of the grommet, this was all I cut out, for this difference in depth..

I just got the lip out and mine fit perfect, if you get stuck for depth, I have 6.5" spacers, lemme know if you need em

Hey, I don't know for sure if my doors have a plastic housing like that...? I thought when I had my door panels off for a limited time they were just mounted right in the door. Are those plastic things behind it?
