my sub

my head unit

mine's much smaller, but still looks the same

Question: Why is it that when my music is on, be it radio, regular cd, or burnt cd, that my music will stop whenever it so chooses? The sub still hits, but there are no lyrics or any other noise, just the sound of the sub hitting. It only happens for a sec. or 2 whenever it happens, but heck if I know why. Think my component speakers are going? They're still the old factory ones...

Sounds like a grounding issue, but you might check to see that enough current is flowing to both your sub and to the BOSE amps. If there is a current surge because the sub amp is pulling all the juice, then you need to put on a capaciter.

Alrighty, Problem #2: My amp for my sub NEVER shuts off. If you touch my battery, it'll shock the hell out of you - funny to watch, not funny to get shocked.

2 things, 1) do you have the stock bose amp, and is your headunit connected through the amp?

2) Sounds like you have a remote run off your battery, like rajin said, you need to use the trigger from the remote wire on your head unit. I've run a straight trigger from the battery and it will stay on without an inline switch because it's getting direct power from the battery. Run the remote trigger from your head unit.

The headunit is connected to the stock bose amp. The only thing running on my alpine amp is my sub. But my amp doesn't turn on and off with the deck, so that wire must not be connected. Also, once I shut the car off, the sub will still hit for about 1 sec. then shut off with the rest of the car. I went to best buy (where i got the head unti put in - mistake #1) but i went to the one in spartanburg rather than the one in pineville. The guys here took out the headunit and re-wired it. Haven't been in it long enough to see if it's still skipping though; I'll go cruisin' shortly and check it out.

The rewiring fixed whatever was wrong with the interior speakers cutting out. Now, it's just the ever-running amp i have to deal with...

Bro you have to run the Remote Wire to your Deck from your sub amp. If it is (doesn't sound like it is) then check your RCA's

She's not a bro but you're right, like i said b4, you need a remote coming off the hu to the sub amp sounds like it's linked right to the battery or somethin, or your hu is misconfigured to trigger
