Speaker cutting in and out
Speaker cutting in and out
My front passenger side speaker keeps cutting in and out. Is it just a loose connection or is the speaker bad? Also how would i go about removing the speaker and looking/fixing the wiring? Also is there some kind of trick to putting the speaker cover back on? I took it off but i cant get the top part of it flush with the door like it was before i took it off. Thanks

your best bet, and the easiest way is to remove the whole door panel, that way you can remove that pain-in-the-ass top screw that is kinda hiding. Check the connection, and also push on the speaker cone itself with even pressure around the cone and listen for any scraping noise... if there is that may indicate the speaker is blown, but thats unlikely, just make sure to push the cone straight in. You can also test the speaker from another source to see how it plays. Also, sometimes the connection on the back of the radio sometimes gets all messed up... or it could also be a connection on the amp (also unlikely) My guess is the connector on the back of the speaker is just loose. If you really have to pull both front speakers out and swap them from side-to-side and see how that works. Good luck.
