aight fellas, recently installed an injen short ram on my 3.0 and it seems fine. bus two days ago i started to hear a weird noise coming from under the hood. as if something was loose. kind of like a thumping if i go over pot holes and when im coming to a stop. has anyone had this??? what can it be???? i checked the intake and its not loose at all.

 

hmmmm.....can you replicate the noise by pushing down on the front suspension repeatedly? I'm guessing that since the airbox is gone, there's not much of a noise block anymore. It's an open area where the box use to be and now you're hearing more noises from the wheel well?

 

Did you bolt down the Injen Short Ram well? If not it may be due to the fact that the intake itself is hitting the wheel well. I'm only suggesting this because I have a generic short ram and yes over bumps I get that thumping/clunking/banging noise of the intake hitting the wheel well. I clamped it down and there's no longer the noise. I've never seen an Injen Short Ram so I don't know if there are mounting brackets welded on, but if not and it's just freely hanging then I'm positive it's the Intake.

 

the intake itself is not loose because i tried to move it and it will not move at all, so i dont know what the hell the problem is.
