Sooooooo

How much is it to replace a blown head gasket and all of that bullshit that goes along with it?

This car is going to be the death of me.....

I could probably do it myself. I am just not equipped to do it right now. So I am looking at about 1500. Kind of what I thought.

Thanks guys..

I wish... They fixed it. Now, I am going to fix my head gasket, then I am going to trade it in. As much as I would like to keep it, I am sure this head gasket is going to be the start of a lot of problems to come. There is no reason a head gasket should go on a car with under 80k miles on it.

My 02 sensors are shot, my cat is shot. I did however get rid of my exhaust in exchange for a stock muffler and piping up to the joint right infront of the rear axle. I picked it up from a junkyard off a 97 2 door accord... Best part is. It was 8 bucks...

I know it is just gonna be 1 problem after another and honestly, im tired of bouncing my way to work everyday...

OH and there is also something wrong with my AC.. When I turn it on the compressor turns off and on. The engine will rev up to about 1k and then drop to almost stall... It does not always happen, but mostly when its hot as shit outside.

The only way I can get it to stop is by turning the AC off. I refuse to fix my compressor. Thats like another 500-1000 bucks....

If I could get rid of it at a dealership with a blown head gasket, i would.

to be honest.......i think my engine is shot, it has a small knock, my dip stick keeps popping up under heavy driving leading to blown rings. but the dealership would have gave me full kbb value if i didn't try to get discount on the accord's msrp.
just clean it up real nice and fill up all your fluids before you trade it in. since my paint is still really glossy after a wash and i filled all my fluids up, they don't suspect a thing. but they told me its going to the auction house anyways.

^^ Good luck with your Civic.

I am almost positive of what I am going to get. I am really interested in a Ram 1500 w/ hemi if I can find one within my price range.

I know, I'm hoping to swing out to Vegas again this August. It's sad that she's in such bad shape.

It might, I'm trying to put in for a instructor package, see if I can become one. I'd be out in San Antonio for a little while.

I live under the flight path for Randolph.... Luckily nothing flies over that is huge. Mostly just those prop trainer planes.
