Snow is horrible
Global warming ftw. 7-8" at my house, probably 4" in downtown Seattle last week. In november... we had record flooding, just under 16" in one month, and then snow and ice for a week towards the end. November sucked.

By the way, my car handles beautifully on snow... The snow froze overnight for 2 days though, doesn't handle as good on ice but I can easily get out of my driveway and around in 2/D3. I have 3 different types of tires on my car, front two are all season Kumho 712's and I think back passenger side is a summer tire and back driver side I'm just not sure...

NO NO NO, not low gear in bad conditions. High gear so torque doesn't cause wheels to slip even more on slippery roads. When I drove a 5 spd in the snow, I always started in second. That's what most German sedans do if you put it in snow mode on auto trannies-start you out in 2nd.

Needless to say, I had my car in 5th Gear at one point doing 110MPH (sitting still and spining the tires) trying to get out of it!!! HaHa... I was obviously doing that because I was pissed off...
I like having a stick better in the snow though. It's alot easier to rock yourself out of a rut.
