Was this smart

New to site...looking at the 2003 CL -s but can not bring myself to spend 33K. Going to purchase a 2001 with 30K miles. Spoke to the original owner and he raved about the car. Should I be concerned with the miles? Purchase price would be 25K.

25K is alot of money for that car. I've seen lower miles CL-s's go for cheaper. There was a car w/ 20K on it that sold for 21,8XX. I think you can get a 03 CL-S for about 29 if you shop around on the net, don't want navi and are a good bargener.

true, but of course want the nav and spoiler! Best I can do for that on a 2003 is 32 - 33K. I know the 2001 is clean (carfax) and found information on original owner and called him---was leased on 8/2000.

i still think you can do alot better on that then 32. I think you can do 30 w/ navi and spoiler if you are a good talker. I also think you can find a cheaper 2001. 2001 also had a few problems. And for basically 7K your saying, you want to buy a used car w/ 30K miles. IMO the upgrades they did to the 03 alone are worth it, then the fact that you are driving a brand new car.
