What do I do first?

Ok everyone I need some help. I just got a 97' 3.0 cl and I need to know what the first damn thing that I need to do to it is. Its black with gray leather interior and is a sweet ass ride. Im going about 60% looks and about 40% performance or vice versa. I know I want wheels and an exhaust, not to mention a lowering kit. It would be really helpful if I could get some ideas. so please help-

First off welcome to the boards! Congrats on your purchase!

Now then...I'm going to move this to the first gen forum and we will be happy to help you in there!

Basically just a few tidbits,
Accord 94-97 suspension parts fit
Accord 98-00 engine mods mostly fit (ie: intakes)

Nice springs to go with for a casual drop is the Eibach Prokits. They offer a 1.25 - 1.5" drop. If you want more, you can go with the sportlines. Anyways, there's a lot more that people will chime in with later on.

OK you asked for it....

The first thing is to sell it and buy a 2003 6 speed CL-S ...

In all seriousness now....the First Gen CL forum is better at helping you

I got a 2.2 but i say get the lowering kit first- definitely before wheels, or at the same time... Performance: Go intake, header, exhaust- in that order i think. ~G~

for performance I would go with intake first, then cat back exhaust. The headers cost $1200, so that may take some time to save up. For looks I would lower it first, check out aieonline.com. They have neuspeed sportsprings for $129, they lower 2" and ride great. Then go for the wheels.

Put a gold kit on it! :P

Go for the CAI or short ram intake. Helps a little with your performance, it's not too expensive, and they sound great!

When you go to lower your CL, change out the shocks at the same time!

What an incredible difference a good set of wheels can make for out CLs. Changes the whole character of the CL!

Clear Bumper Lights

Put on clear bumper lights, they really make a difference in how the car looks. Just put mine on the other day, and am glad to have gotten rid of that amber.

Start hitting the sites for rims day and night (there's SO MANY out there) I recommend finding a place that has wheel packages.
Good luck

the cheapest and easiest way to make a car look better in my opinion is to BLACKITOUT, tint all the windows

then i say drop, rims tires, intake, exhaust, header, nx bottle(S)
