I bought them a while back, installed them and then returned them. The color was barely any different from OEM. I figured it was a monster waste of 20 a piece.

wow - i was thinking about picking up some 9006 Silverstars for my low beam. All I wanted was a whitish light - it doesn't have to be blinding (otherwise I'd do the 9005 conversion). What 9006 bulbs other than the silverstars output a clean white light? Nokya artic whites? Damn bluish tint...the HID projector project won't start till spring/summer

hey are whitish and brighter than OEM. I admit they do not have a bluishest tint to them, and if u put like a HID or Piaas xtreme whites etc they will look a light shade of yellow. I had them close to over a year and they work fine as the normal low beams, not running high beams as low.

email sylvania and tell them your problem... they replaced a pair of silverstars for me, they said they are trying to work the bugs out of them and try to perfect them, so they wanna know about any problems.

i might get 'em anyway if that's the case. I'm not a fan of any kind of tint in my headlights. As close to white as possible. Doesn't matter that much if they are really bright.

There was a long thread about the 9005 conversion...do a quick search on it, and I'm sure vxcl can drop some knowledge being the resident headlight expert

nah the silverstars are white white ... no tint in em

maybe i'll email em see what they can do

and the 9005 conversion is just so that u can rock high beam bulbs as ur driving lights .. being lowerd ur not gunna be bothering people huge difference in light output

PIAAs are a total waste. total rip off.

The Sylvania Silverstars are nothing close to stock... put one stock bulb in and a silverstar in the other side and look at the difference. They are also DOT approved, no legality issues.

Yeah i dunno Y people keep saying they are just like stock? I mean they not as bright as piaa or as white, but they don't cost 4x the amount.

it's not much of one...but i can definetly tell..when i'm behind a truck and i can see the reflection in the tail gate. I am getting new bulbs tomorrow...Pretty Ones!!!!

I've had my Nokyas for almost a year now, and they're still workin fine from the first day I bought em. Somethin must be wrong with yo driver's side headlight wiring or somethin legendaryCL98.

Anyways, just get HIDs! Trick all this bulb mess, save yourself the money in the long run and just get a projector conversion, like me, heh. They're comin REAL soon done by VXCL, watch out for pics. I bet you'll hardly ever need to use your highs after you get em.
