I'm sick of my fucking front seats being messed up. Meanwhile, my rear seat is in perfect condition. This leaves me with a few options:

A) Reupholster the front seats with the same color/type of leather (if possible)

B) Reupholster the front seats with some nice ass suede (think the premium of leather with the vesatility of cloth)

C) Get some racing seats for the front (may be too much $$$)

D) Get some RSX seats or something similar and custom mount them in

E) Destroy the car in some freak manner....

Any ideas. Also, my armrest is fucked so it would be reupholstered too, and repadded. And I need my armrest plastic and console plastic (around the radio) replaced, wrapped, or painted. What to do, what to do....

i always brainstorm this shit.

i am big on comfort, i think that Mercedes Benz seats are the best for driving in. I haven't driven

any other car besides lincoln/mercury/acura/MB for a long period, so i'd go with the benz.

As far as upholstery, you could go on Ebay and get leather, i've purchased from this guy

named markor1@comcast.net (monstertheater). His company is leather ace co. They sell all types

of hides. I purchase the black embossed skin, i will be keeping portions of it, shipping it back

to him and getting DK Brown to do a 2-tone deal along with a new headliner when the money

starts flowing a little better. I make around 280-320 a week delivering. As far as custom mounting

new chairs in the car, go the f- for it, i'd love to get some inspiration to do something like that.

As i said, im a interior guru, a clean outside is nice, but a snazzy/plush inside is so worthwhile.

Keep us posted and let us know what your thinking of doing before your doing it.

But seriously, I just think racing seats in the CL is just I would just recover the front seats back close to stock unless you plan on recovering all the seats then I would maybe go a suede/leather combo. Maybe a perforated leather too. But if your goin custom now is the time to do it all right and not just do it half-assed.

 

racing seat would look really bad but i love the feel of the CL Type-S seats

they fit so much better and they look 10x better than ours

s2000 seats are nice but they come in black and red stiching so if you dont want red i would stick away from this

the rsx seats are nice but then fitment would have to be totally custom, with the CL Type-S you should be able to slap them in with little or no modification

 

i have seen his seats and i think that they are 10 X Better than mine and i was Quoted to reupolster the driver seat about $300. if that is the case then dam i will just go with shitty seats for a while... oh well.. Sammy i think that you should sell your seat's to me and buy you some S2000 , or RSX seats ?? i am going to do some more $ing on this as my seats are way worse than yours.

I'd take it across the border and have a Mexican shop do it for 1/2 of what you'll pay in Texas. You are fairly close... they used to be able (its been a few years) to do any car in a day. Thin of it as a weekend trip. good luck.

 

i would totally go for the RSX seats... its so nice.. plus you get to keep the leather, heated and power seats... i've seen the new SiR seats in a 6th gen accord coupe.. they seem to fit pretty nice as well

 

MY seats are sooo fukkked. On the drivers seat i have slits and you can see the yellow cushion.

 

This guy where i work has the 02' TL and his seats seem sooo thick compared to ours. Ours are like a bench and his are like a thick leather couch.

 

I'm working on getting some RSX seats right now. I just have to find some without the side airbags. I just got done getting new tires and brakes so I've been putting some $$$ in the Cl

A/B....autoleathers.com...the kits are on the steeper side but they're nice leather...or look on ebay and find some out a wrecked CL

 

Somtimes you can find some nice / non racing style recaro's in the paper depending on where you live. I picked up a pair from a isuzu Vehicross I found in the la times for 300 bucks. Even though they are worth 800 a peice. I custom mounted them in an older bmw though not a acura, but they would probably fit fine.

 

how would you get the passenger side power seat to work?
