Should I fix rust on 99 2.3 cl?

the car has 220k on it. The rocker panels are starting to get holes in them and there are 2 spots on the rear quarter panesls by the wheel wells. I took it to one shop and they kinda of laughed at me and said what do you want from a car...... If I did get this fixed I would also do the door check because mine is loose. Would like a whole new paint job to. Is it really worth it?

how does the engine/tranny run? do you think it will last another 10 years? if you answered yes to those questions, maybe it could be worth it. otherwise, no. i have family in vermont and i've seen the rust on cars there.

If it were my car with such high mileage, that would sound like an opportunity to learn how to do bodywork and paint prep, then send it off to someone else to paint. Or make it a satin black rattlecan delight like my friend did to his jetta as it approached the upper 200k miles.

With that many miles on it it's not worth it. To fix it the right way, rust needs to be cut out and new metal welded in. If it had low miles I'd say yes it's worth the investment.

I concur, I'd use the opportunity to learn how to do some paint prep/welding and then send it off to get painted

is it worth it? That's entirely up to you. With that many miles, it's really your call
