Should I buy?

Howdy;
I joined this forum and am wishing to buy a CL. I saw one the other day and im thinking on buying it. It's a 1997 3.0CL stock with everything but it has 95K on it. IT looks really tempting but, I've heard that a lot of 1st gen CL's have tranny problems. Is a lousy tranny really that prevailant on all the CL's? I don't want to buy a dud that will fail after a month since this will be my first car What do yall veterans on the CL think?

I have a 97 3.0 with 170,000 miles on it and i havn't had any tranny problems...i would have the car checked out by somebody that knows about cars, but it all depends on how much they are asking for it.

Definitely have it checked out - keep an eye out for delayed shifts from 1st to 2nd.... Most are fine, but there are those of us out there who have had duds.

Dont our cl's have a 7 year warranty on powertrain???
i know mine does for fact cause i bought it as a certified used acura, but i think the warranty carries over regardless. Buy it, beat the tranny to death, than bring it in for service.
