short shift adapter question.

I just got a new dcSports short shift adapter in, (97 accord model), there is almost no way in hell this thing is gonna bolt onto any thing, all the holes are too narrow for the shift lever's bolt. Am i doin something totally wrong, or should i have gotten a different adapter??

by the way. hi i'm new here, whats goin on??

Thanks

hey dude what's up? Welcome to the place of the gods....Now about your question. I personally have a DC shift adapter for my car. It was installed no problem. However i dont have any pics. The only advise i can give is keep flipping it around until it fits. That's what i did and it's been on for like 6 months now.

I decided to resell the adapter on ebay, i think they sent me the wrong one, the bolt on the shift lever does not fit through and hole on the adapter, plus the adapter is too wide to tighten a nut onto the bolt if i got it through.. gonna go for the b&m adapter and see how that works , hopefully i'll have more luck..

i can get a pic this weekend, gotta borrow a digi. cam. but its silver with black ingraved shift pattern, this is the ebay listing, it shows red ingraved but its actually black, i like it a hell of a lot better than the stock knob

The s2000 knob should fit, stop by a honda deal and take the knob off and measure the diameter

So does the stock shift boot fit and "lock onto the RSX knob? How does it look if it doesn't connect to the boot?

It came with an i shaped adapter, holds the shiftboot up and then i guess is suposed to go around the shift lever and keep it up ( has a few little "fingers" on the inside to hold tight against the lever) i had to use some ever-so-usefull electrical tape (wraped around the shift lever) to give the apadter something to grab onto, i should have some pics up by monday. its kinda crued but it looks noce and works
