i got a new shift knob very similar to my old black PSPEC knob..its a honda oem integra type r knob

the knob screws on but when u try to tighten it up the farthest ive gotten it...the 1 2 3 4 5 6 R is facing the passenger side and its at an angle

i want it either facing me or straight...i cant tighten it any more to make it that way and when i loosen it and go around the other way..its too loose and it moves

so is there any way to fix this like make the threads longer or anything...any ideas will be appreciated
