Shift Knob
Is it easy to install a Type-S shift knob for our generation CL's (automatic). Do I just take the screw out of the side and take it off and put the other one on? Thanks!

Yeah, any screw on knob like MDX or type-S will be a pain

Ok i definitely bought a knob off of a 99 CL. I liked the leather and all. But when I went to change it, the chrome button piece will not fit into the whole. Comparing the old shifter knob to the new one, they look like the same exact hole. Should I go back and buy that chrome release button thing off of a 99?

nope I just took the 2 screws out of the side and all of a sudden, the spring pops out, the screws go in 2 different directions and the white piece came out. I put it back together to see how its supposed to be, then tried it with the new one and the chrome thumb piece just wouldnt fit into the new leather one! it fits, but doesnt go in all the way to push the button like it does the old one.
