are you gonna go with a kit? or are you gonna do an OEM 9006 conversion. I would recommend the conversion, get some philips or osram 4100k bulbs, philips/hella ballasts, some 9006 trim rings on ebay, and a 9006 adapter and you're all set. It'll run you ~300

ha, yea i know KLepTo haha.. it was too late for me to change my sn.. and too lazy to make the correct one.. so, its better to do the conversion you think? i have noooooooo idea how to do all that~ so far all i know is that the kit is plug-n-play.. that sounds easy

 

just buy a new one off of Ebay.

 

ok.. i found this deal.. this philips ballasts w H7 bulbs.. so that mean i would have to get a H7 converter to 9006 or i'll just have to get the 9006 bulb to replace the H7?

and what if the kit only comes with the bulbs and ballasts and nothing else? do i need some kinda "special" wire to connect to the battery and ballasts itself?

yep the best option besides a retrofit is doin the 9006 ring conversion onto a d2s bulb, get a custom 9006 harness made for the ballasts and bulbs, and your set

i would of done it this way, but at the time of my need for a kit there wasn't anyone selling a d2s to 9006 adapter (lexus4jess) or something her name is on ebay

i'm planning on ordering a h7 adapter, and them attaching it to a d2s bulb, we'll see how that goes

 

ok the 9006 oem conversion.. i have found this D2S hella ballasts off this A6.. now all i need is to get a D2S bulb and converter it with the 9006 ring? is that it?

 

Theres also D2S rebased bulbs already sold on ebay. They're D2S bulbs that already have the 9006 converted ring on them.
