Seat Problem

Ok this happened last night when I was out, the front passenger seat started to not lock in place and I can't get it too. It just will side back and forth but not lock. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? The car is off warrenty so I'd rahter not take it to Acura where they will probably overcharge me. Thanks a lot.

SINCE WHEN DO WE START CARING ABOUT THE PASSENGER?

But seriously, take a peek underneath the seat and I bet you the actual lock somehow got stuck out of the track. A screwdriver should force it back into place. Pick up the moldy french fries and cemented gum while your under there too.

When the the passenger seat does not lock, 95% of the time you have some loose change stuck in the track. Give it a look that is most likely the problem.

thats exactly what it is... my cl did it all the time!! Although its kinda funny to watch your passenger "come and go" and you brake and accelerate!! LOL

The change is usually a bitch to get out... it takes some patience usually.

yep, its got to be change in the track! I had this in my car a year ago! Then it finally got stuck in one position, I forced it to move and heard a nasty nasty sound.. took out the seat and found a quarter stuck in the track, bent into a perfect "U" shape... Since then no probs!!!
