Screw Up so I'm kinda mad

I read the noob guide and went with what it said about my '99 2.3CL being an F23 so i bought headers for my CL and bought the F23 ones (for an accord from 98-02) and they came and i spent about 3 hours working on the rusted out bolts to find out that it doesn't fit! It has a triangluar patern to bolt up to the cat and my cat has a 2 bolt pattern which I now see that is the same as the bolt pattern from an F22 header.

Fantastic.

So now, I have to put my OE exhaust manifold on and spend more money to buy different headers.

Oh yea and if Anyone wants to buy a completely unused unscratched set of OBX Stainless Steel headers I have em for sale. They are for a 98-02 accord or a CL with the triangular bolt pattern where it mates with the cat. I'm just looking to get the same that i paid which is 160 shipped.

I think it should be updated on the noob guide that the early '99 2.3CL (like mine) use the same porting on the exhaust headers as the 2.2CL

ummm ouch, sorry to hear that man, will an F22B1 header bolt into the F23A Head is the question, the main concern is that the F22B1 is an oddball

F22B2/F22A = O O O O
F22B1 = O OO O

2 and 3 are closer than they are to the outer 1 and 4

but if itll bolt onto my block I might take it off your hands for mine, they are stainless and already have that sort of discoloration that stainless has with high heat........... I was looking at maybe getting a new highflow cat anyhow, ill just get one for a 6th gen is all I guess

yea well the early F23's use the same porting as the F22's apparently. I have a very early manufactured F23 and it has the 0-00-0 porting where as my friends F23 manufactured a few month's later has the 0-0-0-0 porting.

weird

take a picture of yours and email it to me and i'll be able to tell you if it'll fit

however, what connection to your cat do you have? the 2 bolt or 3 bolt one. I need the 2 bolt one but the headers i have use the 3 bolt pattern

That triangular pattern screws up everything. The actual headers bolt up to my block but i can't connect it to my cat and theres no spot on the downpipe area for it to bolt up to the stock location
