nice. more suede would look sweet. but not all suede, i think a 2 tone interior would be really cool and unique

any update? did you try putting the seats in yourself at all before you took them to your friend and the machine shop? i'm not so interested in changing out my backseat as much as the front two since my leather is torn up. i was just curious how they line up when you put in the driver and passenger and how much modification is actually needed. planning on buying a set and doing it myself. i can always go to my friend's shop if needed.

i also wanted to know how low you actually sit now compared to before. i have my driver seat as low as it goes, so compared to that. thanks!

im 6'1, 34 inch legs, so im pretty evenly proportioned. it could be the way i position my seat too, i have the seat one notch back from completley upright and my lumbar all the way out. i sit fairly straight up. side efffects of a shitty back.

it was lots of work all the brakets had to be cut and moved or new ones made due to the angle or the bracket not lining up with the floor ... none of the stock brackets fit or lined up.

and also they are no lower than before nor does it slide back as far as stock power seat did

was a waste of money imo...

did you cut the base off the stock seats and then have them mounted/welded to the bottom of the rsx seats? i've read a lot of DIY's on other boards (civic/accord/prelude) how much did it cost you for labor in the end? i'm really interested in doing it still since my seats are all torn up. i prefer oem parts to racing seats so rsx seem to be the most affordable/nicest looking/comfort option. my powerseat doesn't flip up anymore either, nor does the heated seat work for the driver. i'm not the tallest (5'8") so not being able to move back as far isn't a big problem for me either.

forgot to say, i'm only interested in swapping the driver/passenger, not the back seats. so my questions were for just those.

it wasn't a waste of money bro, it looks so much better than stock. i'd hit it

no nothing was cut off of the stock seat, the guy that did the work turned the stock seat upside down and made a template from the underside of the stock seat brackets (the side that would touch the floor) then cut off all the tabs from the rsx seat made 3 new ones to fit the angle and moved the long flat one in and up some.

and yeah maybe not a complete waste of money they do ook better but all in all i eneded up paying 400 i think... its in the above

250 for seats and 150 for welding and time i proy paid to much for the welding but ohwell

yeah thats what i did as well. the issue i find is that, with having fairly long legs, i can move my seat back far and the arc of the roof better accommodates my head space. the issue i run into there though is that shifting becomes kind of awkward, more like im reaching to put it into 1 3 5.. i feel like on our cl's the shifter is very close to the dash compared to other cars?

for $400 installed, you got a deal still, whether you overpaid for welding or not. i can't even find the seats for that much. i found one passenger for $90.. but i know i'd ever find a driver. everyone's selling in pairs or full sets (front/back). found a guy for $300 for the full set but he won't show me any pics, keeps tellin me to come to his place but he lives 2 hrs out. f* that. i'll let you know what it costs me in the end. hopefully i get lucky and find an rsx on the back of a tow too =)

@shogo2.3cl did you swap the seatbelts as well? I had to as the stock CL seatbelt buckles were too big to go into the RSX latches.

is it possible to remove the latches off the CL seats and attach them onto the RSX seats? I'm about to pick up a passenger seat for now, found a really good deal on it. Gonna wait till I can find a driver seat for a reasonable price.

Spazzy if you cant get the RSX belts. You can take a Dremel to your CL buckle and grind it down to the same size as the RSX latch and you would be good to go.

I was under the impression that there was a bolt that was holding the CL latch onto the seat and same for the RSX. When time comes, guess I'll cut them to fit. I guess it depends on who I get the seats from and what they're offering with it. So far its only been seats, no belts included. thx for the info guys, really appreciate it. makes me feel much more at ease jumping into this project.

As to the 4pt. harness, I know they are "safer", but it might be a bit too much. esp since my 3.0 CL is all show and no go, it would make me think my car is even slower. i've driven cars with 4 pt harnesses, makes you want to really tear shit up. for me, it would be like having a fake blow off valve and no turbo. it's my DD/commuter. i just want the interior to have an updated OEM look and feel.

LOL very true, ive never sat in rsx seats so i dont know how they hold you, but im thinking of getting one for my stock seats, just because its a freaking slip and slide around the bends.

looking on ebay.. you can get a pair for sub 35$ generic black blue red. plus i have little faith in my one airbag doing anything aside from burning me and my 3 point just doesnt seem right. i had a 5 point i my mr2, damn i felt safe as hell.
