Another question... Does anyones rpm jump up and down when in park or stopped at a light and playing bass hard? Is this bad? I have an optima battery and also a cap.

 

I'm running 1000 watt peak on my sub and I have an Optima Red Top...Never happened before. But I'm guessing this can't be good.

 

mine moves... but it moves to the beat.. like it is shaking because of the bass... the lights don't even dim... could be moving because of the bass... i don't even have a cap on my setup and a stock battery... i have an MTX 1000 watt amp...

 

ya i was thinkin it was because of vibration because my whole car flex's, license plate shakes, windshield wipers, trunk, etc...But does ur speedometer move? Only the rpms move...

 

check for vacuum leaks

 

check your idle control

 

Mine does it too, when i'm bumpin the needle jumps. Its been doin it for 3 yrs now, no problems. I wouldnt worry about it.

 

when i had mine all the gauge needles moved that is because of the pressure and vibration the reason lights dim is because u are drawing power from the battery buy a compassator I SOLD THE SOUND AND THE GAUGES QUIT SHAKIN

 

how do u check ur idle control?
