Damn that sucks... I had a tire blow out, but it wasn't in a "city limit" but rather on a highway, so it was on me... Definitely go after the city for the rim...

i already have the claim form filled out, we'll see how it goes.

Man when I was over in eastern washington they were doing road work and they had this dip in the road that was so steep my car bottomed out going over it. It was like midnight and pitch black... so glad I got my kaixen's to see where I'm going!

Good luck getting money out of the city, too. Usually they put the signs up BEFORE they do the road demolishing.

That's some crazy road work by the way, what exactly are they doing?

crappy deal. I am surprised your bead/lip cracked like that.

I almost hit a steel plate this w/e. They had the construction sign and steel plate sign right beside the steel plate = no warning. Those bad boys have no give and sit high on the road. Im lucky I have big convex on my sides, because there was no way I would have not made that safe swerve without a good check.

If your deal falls through, go after your councillor. Tear them apart and threaten that the roads are hazardous and dangerous and could have cause a larger accident etc etc.

good luck

Thats what my 18s looked when I had em. I had numerous cracked rims. City driving and aftermarket rims are a no no. I def feel for you. Here's my pain.

thank god I have yet to get a bend/crack in the wisers so far on DD...hit one dip similar to yours at like 40mph and thought i had definitely fucked something up but fortunately the forged rims held up....city construction everywhere is ridiculous nowadays

that was pretty quick for them to respond, and atleast it's someone else other than the city that is responsible

you could always try and ask that ebay seller for a better deal on replacement rotas since they use the pic of your car to display their wheels

so i got a letter today from a paving company. i just have to sign and send them back a letter and they're giving me $550CAD to replace my rims. it would have been cheaper but our dollar has tanked a bit. oh well, gas is 60 cents a litre cheaper so who cares

yeah it's pretty sweet. it's actually full compensation. i contacted the guys i got the rota's from and they said 350USD for 2 more shipped, which with exchange and duity is about 550CAD.

so yeah two more rota's, i did just get them at the end of july, and we already know how much fun it is to find rwd offset's for fwd 4bolts.
