I was wanting to get my car repainted as it has lots of chips and scratches. How much do paintjobs run for from bottom of the pile to a very nice job?

You can save quite a bit of money if you do the prep work yourself...

 

Thats a lot of work to sand an entire car...

 

Which is why it costs a lot of money to have someone else do it for you.

 

Good point, back to the old argument of am i dedicated enough...or would i rather be out a couple hundred-1000 bucks

 

how much do you think a decent paint job would be if you sanded your entire car down to primer?

 

depends on where ya go. Maaco and it'll be cheep even if you don't sand, but if you go all out for a crazy job like 1500 bucks you would probably save at least 300 bucks, probably more, thats the most labor intensive part of the job
