Removing Back Seat Help~!

OK, heres the situation, i hate having that little hole in the back ... i want to remove that big metal plate behind the seat and set it up so my seats can fold up and down and actually lock into place.... Does anyone know how to get the seats out as well as how to take off the plate.. I wanna be able to hear my sub more, it's loud as hell in a hatchback but in my cl that plate dosent let all of the sound through, it would sound much better with that taken out....i have heard of other people doing it but dam it seems like alot of work...Has any of you guys/girls done it?

your talking serious moding and cutting of the plate

that plate is whole

you can take off the back seat by i think 3 or 4 bolts lift up and slide out

if you are trying ot take off the bottom piece the bolts are there too about 3 i think

i would not do this, keep the frame and structure whole, if you wanted to get some more beat try installing, i have seen this done before in a civic, where they took the back where the 6x9's are and put like 2 or 3 ports there to get some more airflow, also i have seen in the CL they took of the 3rd brake light for more air flow

hope this helps good luck

WHoa that plate is like a structural thing there. I dunno if u want to do that, most two door cars are like that so it keep the frame straight etc, kinda like a strut bar i guess u would call it. I wouldn't mess with it. But if u want to remove the seats, there are these two clips in the and two bolts inbetweent he cushion. The clips are kinda of a bitch to take off.

the plate comes right out, it unscrews, no reason to cut it up or anything

I looked over the structure points and the plate isn't doing much as far as holding up the structure of the car.

I had mine out for a few months while I was building a custom piece so the trunk extended all the way through the backseats. I decided I needed a backseat and eventually put it back in
