Remote Starter

Whats up again

I am thinking about purchasing an add-on remote starter for my CL. I want to be able to use my original remote, so I need an add-on kit. Can ya'll give me some suggestions and prices of some good kits ?? I have saw some on Ebay, but I am unfamiliar with them.

using your original remote will do you no good, since the oem remote only works at about 150 feet. Most remote starters, (most good ones anyway)will work up to 1000 ft or more. The goal os the system is to be able to start your car from inside a building and let it get warm/cool before you come outside But the remote starter should be able to work your security no problem, lock + unlock, and in some cases, trunk. You will need a relay for the trunk though. just my thoughts on the matter.

why get an add on kit when you can just replace the entire security system in the process????

these days, they should not cost much.

in my previous vehicle, i installed the Viper 550ESP with
the remote starter.
it was $350 installed.

the system was not bad.... i would recommend it.

also, that was two years ago.... so it may possibly be
a bit cheaper now.

or how about Compustar?
Mrateb recently had that installed in his 2.3cl.
