This is my first acura so I gotto learn more..
Am I blind or there no key hole for trunk at the back ?
Is there any way to open the trunk from outside of the car?

OR...

Do I have to have a remote ? I have 97 2.2CL and when I bought it, there was no remote.
Do you guys think that do I have a system in my car for remote ?
Maybe the old owner lost the remote!??
Please give me some ideas...

yea theres a remote... youllk have to buy one and program it do a search

 

i think all CL came with a remote....u can get one of those on ebay really cheap. you can take it to the Acura dealer to get it program, i'm pretty sure they'll do it for free, or u can do a search on this site and find the instructions on how to do it urself.

 

there is a remote with the button..no hole on the trunk...and an interior(loackable) latch to open the trunk

 

oh yeah...our car doesn't have a key hole in back...pretty sweet huh.

Reprogram a remote...

Ok...try this to reprogram so you dont need to pay all that money!

1. Turn the ignition switch on (II on the ignition)
2. W/in 1-4sec, push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the keyless receiver unit. (Just at the steering wheel is fine)
3. W/in 1-4sec, turn the ignition switch off
4. W/in 1-4sec, turn the ignition switch on(II)
5. W/in 1-4, push the transmitter lock or unlock button w/ the transmitter aimed at the receiver again.
6. W/in 1-4sec, turn the ign. switch off
7. W/in 4sec, turn the ignition switch On(II)
8. w/in 1-4sec, push the transmitter lock or unlock again.
9. w/in 4 sec, turn the ign off
10. w/in 4 sec, turn the ign ON
11. W/in 1-4, push the transmitter again
12. Confirm you can hear the sound of the door actuators. W/in 1-4sec, push the trans lock or unlock button again.
13. W/in 10sec, aim the transmitters (up to three) whose codes you want to store at the receiver, and press the transmitter lock or unlock buttons. Confirm that you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators after each transmitter code is stored.
14. Turn the ignition switch off, and pull out the key.
15. Confirm proper operation with the new codes

You know, my remote does everything BUT open the trunk. Is there programming for disabling the trunk release on the remote? Basically, my trunk button does nothing at all. I will take a look at the manual to see if it's in there...

 

Try holding the button for 3 seconds. Maybe that will do it for ya!

 

for the trunk u have to hold the button until the light comes on. if it doesnt work then soemthing wrong with that button. my gf accord does the same thing...sometime it work sometime it doesnt

yeah i never noticed there was no key hole either, does anyone know what the little metal thing is in the top left corner of the front windshield? I dont know if its in all of them but its in my 97 3.0 pre, i was thinkin either antenna or something with the alarm
