I've been doing a little research and will likely try the Yokohama AVS dB decibel. appears to have excellent balance of handling, treadlife, etc plus really quiet.

Yeah, if quietness is your main priority but you also would like some all season performance thrown in, the dB's are the only way to go.

Get a set of the michelin pilot sports. A lil on the expensive side, but a definate upgrade to the stock mxv4s, I would say they run pretty quietly. The car handles and corner ALOT better than with the stock tires. Tire Rack rated them near the top in their tire tests.

Great combination of all-weather performance, comfort, quietness, fuel efficiency, and durability.

If you're looking for good all-season M+S tires, in addition to the Pilots, Dunlop D60s and Contintental CH95s are also good replacements.

The CH95's are NOT a good replacement for the stock MXV4's!!! I just rotated the CH95's to the front (and the MXV4's to the back) and the handling is horrendous. The front end washes out easily, the tires squeal like pigs, and the sidewalls are super soft. I run 38 psi up front.

I just noticed that you live in FL... which means that there's no reason to even think about running all season tires except for the comfort and noise issue.

I used to live in Florida and I liked all-season tires because of the torrential rains we sometimes got. I found them to be a good balance between dry performance and wet-road traction.

Not to sound like a snob ('cause I'm all for finding great values), but I'd be a little worried about putting $71 tires on my car!

Ok, summer tires=wet/dry. All season=wet/dry/ice/snow. There are very few (if any) all seasons that can stick in the rain like a summer tire. Why? For decent snow traction, snow must be retained within the tread. For decent wet traction, you need to eject water out of the tread.

Also, summer tires are formulated to be sticky at temperatures over 40 degrees. All seasons try to operate well from anywhere from 0 to 100 degrees, which doesn't happen.

So, all season tires are a compromise in every way.

The $70 Kumho 712 is no joke. Don't knock em til you've tried them (I have a set on my WRX for the street and I have a couple friends that autocross on them). No, they won't stick quite as good as Yoko AVS Sports or Bridgestone SO2PP's or S03PP's, but at half the price, they don't need to.

On the other hand, they outstick Neato's "tuner" tires, Hangooks, Dunlop W10, etc... all of which play in the same price range.

If you only care about dry traction, get the $80 Falken Azenis. It's the closest thing to an R compound tire, but don't play too hard in the rain.

OK.. I feel the need to say this... AGAIN...

TOYO PROXES T1-S = Best investment in tires for performance, ride comfort and reliabilty... not to mention a mean agressive tread pattern!!!

the only down fall is slightly higher road noise depending on pavement...
