Rear Spoiler

I have a 98 2.3 with a factory spoiler and it keeps cracking in the center mount due two the subs in my trunk. I was curious to know if any one else has this problem and or have a solution to this problem?

easy fix, did this with my 88 saleen.

remove wing, fix wing.

place 1 layer of dynamat cutouts on the bottom of the spoiler where it attaches.

put on car.

when you tighten the wing it will smush the dynamat enough that you wont see it between the wing and the car unless you really look.

rmstoico, thanks for the tip. When I have my tunes cranked all you can hear outside my car is that dam spoiler, sounds like a jack hammer.

Yeah, i had that replaced and the rear half of the car matted, but the dammm spoiler keeps cracking. I going to buy 2003 cl manual with no spoiler as soon as it becomes available.

I agree. Even the stock spoiler doesn't even look right to me. The CL's just have that unique slanted rearend that looks good just on it's own.

wow, i'm on the other end of the spectrum, i think the car looks like its missing something w/o a spoiler. and the stock spoiler really is a perfect fit for the look of the car. but hey, different styles and opinions is what keeps us all from having identical rides. peace

then it would hit someone in the windshield and that wouldn't be cool.

yeah it is probably your bass will.. your set up is off the hook with the fiberglass.
