this really sucks

i got my gauges and i was trying to put them in. my problem that i posted earlier about getting the dimmer control, well i found out that the wire wasnt long enough and thats why it wouldnt come out so i could disconnect it. in my effort to take it out, the plastic on the inside broke into many pieces and the little bulb for it fell out.

well after that, i got out everything and it says that the glass thing just snaps off. when i did it, it snapped in half. and for some reason i still went on to put the gauges on. i got all them in without breaking the needles, but still managed to break 2 needles after putting them in.

so now im missing the glass thing and needles for gas and temp. i put everything back in and it looks normal as long as u dont notice theres no glass. the dimmer is scratched, but doesnt look broken. the needles r sitting in their spots so it looks like theyre still in, but they dont move.
whats the part called that i need to get to fix it? is it the gauge cluster? i need to find out what it is and get one as fast as possible so that my parents dont find out i broke something

You could also do that Euro Guage thing that someone did. Similar to the guage cluster seen on this link http://www.auto-motorsport.com/cdisp...me+Accessories

Then leave it w/o the glass.

ok thanks a lot, ill try and order it tomorrow or asap.

CHRIS:
for the gas/temp gauges, what would i have to do so the needles could work, assembly-wise? i thought that once theyre off that theyre off for good. also, what part number is the glass cover and whatever i need for the gas/temp gauges? i cant figure it out. its to small with to many different parts. sorry, im not to good with diagrams. but i do understand the dimmer thing.
thanks for all your help.

also, one more question. i was looking on ebay, and people are selling their whole gauge clusters. some have a lot of miles but i found one with about 36k. can someone take a used gauge cluster with low mileage and it will fit and work in their car? i found that to be really weird. and i was thinking about going to a junkyard to see if i could find a CL or accord that i could take the parts i need from there, but then again the whole mileage thing, i dont want it to say my car has a lot more miles than it really does.

Yes, you can swap clusters without problem.

You would buy the entire gauge, not jsut eh needles, so you don't remove/repalce them.

Diagram #13 is your temp gauge, #12 is your gas gauge, and #16 should be the front galss/shroud.
