It's nothing special I was at a speed shop when they cut one in half, there's nothing to it or I would have bought one, I'm happy with my ebay intake & k&n. Stick with the regular AEM

Honesty is the best policy ... But I hear that it sounds sooo much better from other members. Just wanted to know what the hype is about.

i had a v2 on my last CL and i honestly liked the sound better than my generic intake w/AEM filter. As for performance, idk if there is a really big performance difference. i just think the bigger chamber on the bottow end of it makes it sound better.

I guess getting an AEM intake is just what looks cool under the hood.. I have a Fujita Comp CAI.. and that thing SCREAMS.. People hear me from blocks away when I'm flooring it.. It's a Great intake.. and it's in a 3.0..

Well honestly, i drove a stock DX civ, couldnt even chirp 2nd. W/the V2, i spun second a little. The sound is pretty much sex. my friends S2K has one with a Type-One exhaust and when VTEC engages it pulls much harder than his old intake.

If you really are looking for performance and not just a little noise and being able to actually hear vtec, id go for the V2, if you want the 'look' and whatever, then go ebay bs with a decent filter.

There's a video on youtube of a first gen with only a V2 intake...it's a 3.0 I think, but it'll give you A BIT of an idea (remember, it's just a crappy video).
