Ready to start modding a bit...

Well, my financial aid money + tax returns are coming in soon... and Im looking at finally starting to mod my car.

I've already bought a CAI (AEM.) That should be coming in within the next couple of days. I'll be buying some OBX stainless steel headers soon too.

I want to pick up new exhaust system (pipes, muffler, the works) but Im not sure which 1 I should get (97 2.2 CL 5spd.) What do you guys suggest? and should I also get a new cat conv too to go along w/it as well?

Also, I'm looking at some pulley's to replace the ones I have now because the guy who owned the car before me lived near a salty body of water (or so the mechanic tells me) and everything has some rust on it ><. Which ones should I look for?

More than anything, I want to have my aggie looking nice n'secksy for the next meet we have down here in SoFla... The last one I went to, I was the only first gen CL and I was pretty much bone stock.

I gotta represent and make those tl, tsx, and 2nd gen CL'ers go

custom exhaust does well...you don't have to change the cat. unless it's bad. if you want to get a aftermarket cat. make sure you can fit your o2 sensors.
everything else is on the right track IMO

its in may over in Aventura... check it out in the off topic forum

Hmm.. I just got back from my friends house, and when I started the car and pushed the clutch down... it felt REALLY loose. like I was half way down before I felt any pressure at all.

Maybe It's just me being paranoid, but I think its starting to give. Am I just being paranoid?

Save that money. With the amount your gonna spend, you will already have 1/2 the money needed for the H22 swap. Or you can go with a custom turbo kit for about 2g's. But you have to do it yourself.

yeah, only way to burn up your motor and money.....well actually, there is a lot of ways to do that. I would spend the money in other areas because no matter how you slice it, its still not gonna be as fast as you want. a swap is fun dont get me wrong, but its a damn headache a lot of the time.

yeah but technically its still a ricer bc the motor says HONDA on it. its not the body that makes it rice, its the heart(ex. a japanese woman and man come to america and have a kid. he or she is still japanese regardless of where he or she was "put together".) i think some hondas are assembled here as well(i may be wrong tho).

springs are expensive though - anywhere from 200-900! holy shiet! I will probably be dropping it at one point or another... what kind of springs should I go for?

It all depends how much of a drop you want. Eibach pro-kit and sportlines are what most people have, but if you want more of a drop you have to go to adjustable coilovers.
