Radio Help!!

I just bought a 1997 2.2 cl. I just got intake and put it in the other day. When I was putting the intake in the instructions said to take off your negative battery cable. Then my CD player died and said Err3. The person I got the car from didn't give me the code. I don't have a manuel for my car yet and I need to take out the radio to get the serial # Can anyone help me out. Thanks in advance.

If its help in taking the deck out... then heres some instructions...

Take the trim out from around the radio, usually by pulling on the clock control cover it will pop out. Disconnect the clock and switches by unplugging them, Then on the underside of the pocket there are 2 screws... take them out and the radio will be free... just unplug the harness and antenna plugs on the back.

Take it to the dealership and give them the vin # they should be able to help you out. The vin # is in front of your steering wheel engraved on a strip of copper

Shoot yourself in the head for doing that.

Just kidding. The easiest thing to do is take it to the dealer. They should help you out easily.

Good luck... took me a month to get mine... Well, maybe i'm exaggerating but it took me a while... VIN # didn't do anything for me but finally, w/ the code from the back of the radio- i was able to get my "secret" code... It's been 3 years and i still remember it.

If you haven't already removed the radio, try some of the suggestions in this thread: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...ght=radio+code
