ok the leather on the wheel is pealing off (unfortunately no pics but i dont think you need it).

can i just rip all the leather off and just clean the stick with some goo gone?

yea... i didnt use goo gone myself, but I just ripped off the leather and bought a cover...

yea, the 97 wheels are notorious for peeling... hmm, fake leather maybe??

When mine did it, it was under warranty and acura slapped a brand new wheel in the car... thought that was pretty nice, eventhough I never liked the 97 wheel (too thin for my hands). You can either find a used wheel on ebay or get a leather wrap for it... I wouldnt bother taking the "leather" off because it probably looks really ugly under it... just plain rubber i'm guessing as the whole wheel is wrapped.

where can i get this leather wrap your talking about? is that just the wheel cover you can get at gas stations?
