Quick question (timing belt and water pump)

my car (3.0) is due for timing belt and water pump.. its at around 105K i believe...
anyways...
im planning to get the parts seperately and get them installed elsewhere since honda/acura costs an arm and a leg...
i know a guy who has hook up at honda..

does anyone know for sure.. that its the same timing belt and waterpump parts off a 98-02 ACCORD V6?...

and do i absolutley need to change my timing belt and water pump ASAP?

Waterpump and timing belt is the same as 98-02 Accords. I bought it from Honda and just changed them a couple weeks ago. $130 for the water pump and $78 for the timing belt. I bet you'll get it a lot cheaper than that though.

I bought the kit from ebay - it came out to about $160 after shipping. Just did the install myself at 102.5k miles. It was a bytch at times with me being a mediocre shadetree mechanic, but very rewarding at the end of the day to have no squealing, grinding, knocking, etc...
