Quick help please! Can't remove the screw inside the door handle!!
So I'm trying to install my components on the passenger side (haven't touched the drivers side yet) and am having the toughest time with this damn screw. I already removed the other two screws located near the power window switch, as well as all the clips holding the doorpanel. However, from the start, I could NOT rotate that screw pictured below counterclockwise AT ALL. It simply wouldn't budge. However, I could easily turn it clockwise, which makes no sense. It can turn clockwise forever, and after some co-ercing, I finally managed to get it spinning counterclockwise, however, the screw is not coming out at all. It just seems to be spinning in place, and it's preventing me from taking off the door panel! Arghhh...can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong please? The damn thing is driving me crazy.
Thanks!
Thanks!
^^ I tried that, doesn't seem to want to move...damnit, I can't understand why the screw wouldn't spin left to begin with...the door panel has never been removed before
so i assume the screw is to supposed to just completely come out like the other screws in the door? damn

alright, im not sure if itll help much but turn that lock out so you car is unlocked. I'm pretty sure youre going to need that to be out to take it off. and some of those screws dont really screw into the door but im pretty sure thats one of them that have a bracket on the door behind it. not sure what to do in the case that its stripped. sorry, good luck bro.
Thanks guys!
WOW. I had to break out a huge handle phillipps and give the screw all I had before it started to come out, and FINALLY the thread caught and it came out. The driver side turned clockwise from the start like it should. Finally got both door panels off, though the driver side gave me a ton of trouble due to it being hard for me to reach up and underneath to unclip that power mirror cluster harness. : / Now I'm going to dremel out the back of the stock baffels to give me enough access to mount the Dls's. And then resume early tomorrow morning to hopefully have it done before lunch w/ the 'rents
But the car is in pieces right now.
Ok, so now my next problem...how to run the new wire through the door and back into the cabin. I tried using a bent up metal hanger to 'fish' my way through the side of the door after unplugging the rubber grommet, but still could not get the wire through. And even if I could, I don't know how on god's earth I'd be able to 'fish' the wire through the rubber grommet and far enough into the cabin to be able to access it from the foot area. Do any of you have any tips on this? That's kinda why I wanted to use the stock cable for it, but iono if that'd decrease the performance. The tweeters I was able to run on both sides with ease.
Thanks guys!

Wait till you take that door off about 8-10 times for whatever reason. the clips are a bitch after a while, because they lose their ability to clip (lol) and you have to angle the door jsut perfectly to get it back on. But the first few times shouldnt be too bad. I've had that same problem with that screw, btw. I still can't get it too thread
but oh well.
