quick (dumb) questions

hey, just got a 97 2.2, and i have a few quick questions (searched the board, and these i couldnt find).... First, i'm leaning toward an aem v2, but i'm worried about the fact that you can't get a bypass for it.... since it's more of a short ram, that shouldn't be a problem right? also, my first planned mods are intake and headers, unless anyone recommends a different order. thanks in advance!

thanks cl-.... i know that a short ram doesnt require a bypass, but is the v2 for our cars similar enough to a short ram that you dont need one? thanks everyone....

h22, i fully realize that a short ram doesn't require a bypass valve....what i'm asking is since the v2 (which isn't a short ram) is similar to a short ram if a bypass valve would be pointless. sorry if i wasn't making that clear thanks again for everyone's time

it wouldnt be necessary, unless the filter were to be submerged in water.

aem v2 wouldn't require a bpv mainly because it is still above the big frame manifold thing....i believe

You should just save for the h22 swap....always people's favorite mod

Never put a BPV on any intake. Totally ruins the intake, totally not neccessary and basically a big waste of money. All it is a chuck of plastic with sponge in it for 40.00 which you will never need.
