it was the o2 sensor. after some deeper testing it wasn't passing voltage or something like that. so thats replaced. Also, the heat shield is fine, some little piece of something is bouncing around in the cat. Not gonna worry about that for a while.

CEL went on yet again yesterday. Catalytic converter this time. I guess whatever was banging around in there messed it up so now it's bad. The muffler is all rusted out and has a hole in that too, so that's replaced...2 weeks ago I put $1250 for 2 tires, all bew brakes and to fix the passenger window, last week it was $275 for the o2 sensor and now something to the tune of $800 for the cat and muffler and other parts there. I'm losing my patience with this car

yup. just wasn't expecting it to go all at once. oh well, car runs amazing right now. AND i got a free pair of tickets for the giants/cowgirls game tonight, sold those for some serious cash to a coworker and that paid for a pretty good amount of my last repair.

CEL went on last week. i forget what the code was, but the throttle body and injectors were cleaned and comp reset. this morning, CEL comes on again and the car sputtered to a stop. Got it to the shop where it's waiting to be worked on.
maybe i'm just really pissed but i'm considering selling this car.

from the last post: my guy couldnt fix it, so i brought it to the honda shop, where it would be easiest for them to install and program a new computer that it needed. got it back today.
now it doesn't start.
it may be just a simple programming error on their part. but if by chance it isnt, and something ELSE needs to be replaced, then be prepared to see this car on craigslist/the black market because i am done with it.

I know thats the only part bothering me on my project. I found a website selling the whole quarter panel for $400 but felt like it was a rip off but seem like thats the only way to get my side fix.

The shop charging $1200 just to fix it. So i cant paint my car till its fix but i just bought some 17's xxr 531 hyper silver rims on 215/45/17. I was gonna do a h22 swap from my broken 98 prelude but ended up selling it so i can fund my side repair and paint.

Have about 800 bucks to spend probably a little more. I'm trying to pick up a quality catback exhaust system and also header, was gonna go thermal but they don't make it for the Accord anymore. For me right now performance is second to the sound i'm gonna get from the exhaust system. Can anyone point me in the right direction???

Accord Quick Struts
Does anyone know if these Monroe Quick struts from a 94-97 Accord will fit a CL (99 3.0)? These would be damn easy to switch out but I can't find an answer anywhere. I am thinking they might as there is one review in the first link where the guy put them on a 97 CL but that is the only reference I have found anywhere on the web
I know these aren't exactly the most performance oriented combo available but at this point, the CL is the wife's daily driver with 167K miles on it and the original struts which are absolutely shot.
Thanks for the help

I'm looking at replacing the timing belt/water pump on my 97 acura.
I've some kits on ebay that have everything but the hydraulic tensioner, I was under the impression that should be replaced.
Is the hydraulic part of the tensioner more of an option, or is it recommended to be replaced with everything else?
