Your ECU is probably adapting to the new intake and has programmed accordingly for the increase in air to smooth your acceleration.

seafoam, and also look into cleaning your EGR valve

If those don't help, you could try tightening your throttle cable

well...my opinion is to get Injen piping, Swain-tech.com white Lightning coat it, and mount Apexi filter outside the ehgine compartment/ Very pricey all together, but really powerful and fantastic sound! Moving the battery to the trunk (Optima) frees up lots of space for oil catch can, external coil, etc. Be sure to use 1/0 flexible wire to ensure enough juice and ground it with size 1 back up to the same grounding spot.

question.

its been my understanding that LEDs are supposed to last for a long time/never burn out. however, recently many of mine have started to flicker/crap out on me all together. these include license plate, cig lighter, ashtray and 80mph LEDs. all have been from superbrightleds.com

so is that website just sending me shitty products or is there an electrical problem with the car?

i replaced the battery in june, so its not that.

any input is greatly appreciated, as this issue is starting to piss me off.

I've never had an issue with SBLed's bulbs, and I have bought several hundred dollars worth, and have them in both of my cars, and gave my old bulbs to a friend and he never had problesm either, I would definitely point to an electrical issue of some sort

As long as you can reach the lower drain plug, no need

our motor (f22b1) goes like 0_00_0 the non vtec is 0_0_0_0 that's why the non vtec motor can use a dsm turbo and we can't.

1. stick your key in the slot next to the indicator light on your gauges, it will go back to green.

1.) The service indicator goes by mileage, just reset it

2.) The noise is your abs pump priming, it just happens. You can find the abs module on ebay for cheaper than 1000.

You might as well replace them. I got a kit online for like $25. Ended up tearing one of my seals when I was taking everything apart so it was good I had the new ones.

That's your ABS modulator, there are 4 ABS WSS (Wheel Speed Sensors) one on each wheel

Is anyone familiar with checking the ATF level in the tranny? I've tried using the dipstick and it cant get a definite level. My real question is i think I might have too much ATF in the tranny. When i look in the dipstick hole while the car is running, (after it has been warmed up for 20-30 mins) I can see the fluid bubbling. Im thinking this means there is too much???

sounds like too much, from what I understand you're supposed to check the fluid while the car is off

Thats what I was thinking too, it seems like too much. I have a small leak at the axle seal and have been slowly adding fluid over the last 2 years but I think ive been adding too much....And im gonna try checking it with the engine off and see what kind of reading I can get

It'll be difficult to do so, Just go with the 3.0 or if the bell housing will line up, the 07 odyssey tranny is what the 2nd gen 3.2 guys use to replace their blown trannies since the valving allows for better clutch lubrication.

Question

I'm hearing a knocking sound that sounds like its coming from the front of the car. The car knocks when I press the brakes (after about a minute or so of not pressing them), and it also knocks when I'm accelerating out of a complete stop (in first gear).

What is causing this noise and where is it coming from?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve, when I had this problem it was my shock tower bushings disintegrating

Thanks Chris, I'll have it looked at.

Also, another question.

My gf has a 97 Accord coupe (with only 41000 miles on it). We were driving yesterday and she is listening to the CD player (stock) and when she put a new CD in, it gave her the CD-PEO code. So I clean the disk and put it back in, same thing. We try a few different CDs and CD-Rs and still the same code pops up. I'm guessing her CD player is done for?

Sounds about right with the CD player. I was going to ask if you were trying to play CD-R's and CD-RW's because some stock decks won't play those, but you covered that. I'd guess the deck is the problem, but try the CD's in a different car/deck, just to make sure they're still good.

That happened on my cl. The discs started getting really hot after playing, then that error would keep showing up. gave me reason to install a headunit lol i remember searching this a while ago and it seems to be a pretty common problem on hondas/acuras

Another problem with the car.

When I'm slowing down it sounds like something is rubbing in the front of the car. You can especially hear it when pulling into a parking space. It happens when I'm downshifting or in neutral. It's sort or a knocking/rubbing sound that slows in tempo when the speed slows, obv.

Car's going in for surgery on Friday, but can anyone diagnose her ailment?

Thanks
