Question about wiper arms

Does anybody know how i can take them off, they are way faded, some spots are faded down to the metal, they need to be repainted badly, any suggestions on paint would be great too, thanks

They are spring compressed. Pull the arms up, as if to change the blade, and then unscrew the "cap like" nut on each side. I had my arms painted body color at my body shop, along with engine plastics and my cowl panel. Click my www for lots of pics.

ding069, how much did you pay to get yours painted (I'm assuming you did it at the dealer to get the exact color )? I want to repaint mine, but I'm thinking if it costs too much to paint my milano red, then I might be better off buying new ones...or having a local body shop repaint them.

I read on a prior tread about removing the wiper arms. Do you have to remove the actual rubber blades also to relese the spring pressure to get the arms to slide off the mounts?
