Ive been looking at coilovers for my 2.3 & found a skunk2 set for a lil over $200. Is that a good price? Also, is that a good brand for the ack?

Feel free to leave suggestion. Any input helps

hmmm, this wouldnt be in the private sales section would it ? If it is, somebody beat you to them hehe. Im offering 160 for a set of koni yellows to this fellow and i think he still has the skunk 2s for sale ( im not buying them with the strust ) so if you want, i can ask him how low he is willing to go for the complete skunk 2 coilovers. I know i can get him down below the 200 mark

I have skunk 2 with tokico 5 way adjustables and its a match made in heaven. its a nice stiff ride. but then again if you dont like it that stiff you can adjust it. mine are on 3 all around and my skunk2 are 2.5 in the front and 1.75 in the rear

GET OMNI'S!!!! =) they are some badass coilovers =) have em' and i love them. .
the minute i got them on . .. i felt the handling get better as well . ..
and get a full coilover . . . skunk2's are bad but for the best bang for the buck. . i'd go with omni's =) really good stuff. . .i like em' better than the teins basic

omni's are great... i'd let u ride in my car if u were around... but i don't think you are.. The sport set up (is what me and bebop have) are a little stiff... but they are bearable... definitely something worth to give up for the better turning and such. You may wanna try the "street" set up... its suppose to be more street suitable... i don't know anyone that has those so i can't tell u how those feel... but i'm sure they're great too. Omnis get a from me.

you can get them for $100 over at HondaTech.com brand new. Either that, or it was another forum that I've browsed through. Check our sponsors to see if we sell them...

Ground Control coilovers are really nice. Skunk 2 will be bumpy. You still need to get shocks...add an extra $400 to your coilovers.

Your best bet is to get TEIN SS coilovers. They are a coilover and shock with adjustable dampering.

i got tein SS on my 2.3 also. looks, and feels great. i recommend this if you have a grand to spend. how i think of it is, if you're about to keep your car, mine as well go all out on every part you're buying. because you wont be satisfied in the long run.

another thing, how come everyone's talking about springs n shock combos. isnt this thread asking for coilovers the first place?

Skunk2's ride like crap even with aftermarket struts. Tein's have an ok ride but will be bumpy at times. (series of bumps) I would look into getting d2 coilovers with 7kg/6kg for best possible daily ride. The omni's are a little harsh for daily imo. If you want a more comfortable ride ether tein or d2's. I have tein ss's rite now and was planning on changing my front springs out for 7kg springs before I decided to just sell my car.

one thing i dont like about my tein ss is how i could still rock my car fairly easy when it's to the stiffest dampening.

Each of those has got to weigh close to 60lbs, no?
And you're still getting lots of help!

lol... By the way... It may have been subtle, but that WAS a compliment!
