This is pure BullSH*T

Okay, so you guys know the story:

Some asshat hits my car.

It gets fixed.

Everythings fine.

I notice the bumper sagging a little so I bring it back...

They "fix it". Its still not the same.

I bitch at them and they tell me theres nothing they can do.

I remain a nice guy.

Tonight as I'm driving notice that one of my turn signals is out

all of the sudden... I notice this by the "hyper blink".

So I bug out and say to myself, its coincidental that the

bulb goes out as my car is at the body shop...

It gets darker and I notice that as the blinker blinks (in hyper-mode)

my HIDs are turning on-and-off-and-on as it blinks!!!!!

I flip the fuck out and then start to notice that as the car comes to a stop

(at a traffic light) - the left blinker light on the dash comes on and stays

solid until i hit the brakes again.

While the light for the blinker is solid - the headlights cut off!

I am pissed, I turned off the headlights and hit the blinker-

got out of the car and looked to see if the signal light is actually out

and it turns out that the corner light (in the headlight) is blinking.

It also remains constant as a parking light.

It is acting as a dual filament.

WTF did the guy at the shop do?

Cliffs Notes:

Body shop does something silly with the lights when the bumper

is off the car and now as the left signal is activated - the HIDs toggle on/off.

Also the headlight corner is acting as hyper dual filament signal.

if the wires weren't in then the HIDs wouldnt light up.

Hopefully my friend could help me out.

Johnny you know your out there.

I'm gonna go back tomorrow.

Maybe they can fix there error.

I dont wanna sound like an ass but I think

they are cool there but some of them dont know

half of what they are doing.

I meant see if you can see any wires are crossed or anything, sounds like they screwed up the wiring or your relay may have been jacked up, it sits behind the bumper

After talkin' to Mike (VXCL) for a lil' while

he thinks that it has to do with either

a) the turn signal

b) a short in the Low Beam harness/wiring.

I'm not bringing it back to the shop because

we both agree that they messed something up a bit.

I've gotta look this over with Johnny (Orlando3.0)

before I do anything about it.

For now, we have the HIDs running off of the High Beam signal.

Mikes a genius.

oh yeah.

It didn't go away.

I just didnt notice it because the

HIDs werent on during the daytime.

once the HIDs go on- it seems to

draw too much power or something--

who knows?

I think it has to do with my alternator for

some reason (maybe because of the "whine")...

But I also think that it has something to do with

the guy at the body shop... who knows...

What do you guys think I should ask them to check for when I bring

the car in tomorrow. They are putting in a new fender liner and I'm asking

them to take the bumper off to see why the lights are acting up.

What do you guys think about it being the alternator?

Hey man i still think its a ground problem. Like i said, Acura made a single ground point behind the bumper for the turning signal, the headlights, and some other random shit. Have them check that out. They have one on either side of the car in the front...

If you checked that already then i haven't a clue...

have them check the three (?) main grounds on the car. The battery one, that bumper one, and the one for the engine (I believe these are the three main ones, my mechanic showed them to me on my 2.2.)

My car was buggin' out for a while and then I got one of the grounds fixed. (I also got the alternator replaced at the same time.)

Everything in my car works just fine now.
