pulsating steering...brakes?

When I brake at relatively higher speeds (>55mph) I get a slight vibration in my steering wheel, esp from the front wheels. Is this normal at high speeds or do I need new brakes??

Sounds like your rotors are warped or your wheel nuts are not tightened right

you definitely need new brakes...

you either:
-started to warp your rotors and need new ones...
-yours pads have warn unevenly and need new pads...
-you need an alignment on your car...
-possibly need nrew tires (only if you have uneven camber wear...

all possibilities...

mine shakes at different speeds. 65-70 shakes really bad, 75-80 is fine. 85-90 shakes really bad again.. what could it be? alignment?

9 times out of 10 when your steering wheels vibrates at various speeds your wheels need to be balanced. I've gone through this numerous times.

cl-assic.... try new pads!!! and you might also want to get steel braided brake lines from goodridge... it helps significantly!

Steel braided brake lines... wasn't there a GB for that along with brake rotors and stuff.
Is it hard to replace the lines myself? are there only four?
My rotors and pads are all in excellent shape so I'm just thinking of doing just the lines. Anything wrong with that?

Mine used to vibrate a lil before i changed the rims. When i changed the rims and got used tires, it shakes a lot more now when i brake at high speeds. So is it tires, brakes? I'm leaning more towards tires since it didn't used to shake as much before. But then again, i still have pretty good tread on my tires.
