i know it been asked alot of time but i could not find it.

i want to get projectors with hid but i could not find how to install them and what i need.

now, i'm thinking to get This.

can anyone (like VXCL) get all what i need to complete this project cheaper?

Wow havent seen those in a while. they are great projectors. the only thing is that they are made of plastic so u have to be careful with them, but that makes them easy to modify if needed. as far as the price its close to what i would sell it all for anyways. if it goes over $300 then im cheaper. the only prob is most of my stuff is reserved already so i have nothing else to offer at this time except bulbs

 

what's diffence between D2R and D2S?

do you think BMW X5 projector will fit in 1st gen?

dr2 and d2s are same thing cept d2r is notched and has black coating on it blocking some light. it is used for refelctor xenon systems like the 2nd gen cl.

also x5 does fit. very tightly/. i put those in outlaws cl. ill try to find pics

i do not see any wire coming out except for bulb.

can i just connect 9006 plug into it?

technically u can just plug ur 9006 ends into them and it will work. personally i would buy some ends from suvlights.com and create your won wiring harness with relay. $30 is cheap insurance to elimante any possibility of damage to any of th eoem circuits or switches. it has been debated whether or not its needed but like a said
430 is cheap insurance.

some things to keep in mind
- doesn ur alarm flash ur headlamps?
-will flashing ur highs activate ur lows?

u cannot have the xenon system flashing on and off. ull ruin it.

 

im trying to work on it but i've been workin alot lately. got to pay off the volks and order some tires, fix my damn window trim, new custom brake pads, rotors, and ss lines so i need $$$$$.

Hey VXCL, Can you get me a good H1 bulbs and ballast setup? Like 8000k? I bought the projo's from a member (Joey, still love em. if you ever sell the new ones your making let me know lol) but they are more or less just OEM spec H1 55W bulbs. Need to add some blueness in!

 

thats all i deal with is oem parts. u can use a h1 hid kit if you find a good deal. it will okk great. dont buy a h1 kit if u dont find a good deal. otherwise i would just pick up some piaas or silverstars

 

I have a6 projectors in my housings. I love them, and i didn't use any trim, and i still think that they look clean. I didn't use any aftermarket or replacement wiring with my retrofit unlike VXCL. I haven't had any problems with them and i have had them installed for over a year.

 

yeah, i can't wait to get the projectors but the price keep rising.

when i driving and seeing Audi or BMW goes opposite direction, I notice that Audi's hid changes color by angle that you are looking at. BMW doe not do this.

is this true?
